PLAY SYNOPSIS:

  • Colin must be comforted in his grief over the death of his fiancée, so his friends, who never met the girl, arrange a tea party for him. 

  • Absent Friends takes place in real time in the lounge of Diana and Paul’s house. Serio-comedy.

CAST:

Looking for 3 women and 3 men who are or can play between 20 and 40 years old.

Characters:

  • Colin (a recent widower)

  • Paul (a friend of Colin; has had an affair with Evelyn)

  • Diana (Paul's wife)

  • John (a friend of Colin)

  • Evelyn (John's wife; has had an affair with Paul)

  • Marge (wife of the unseen and ill Gordon)
