Mark Twain’s The Diaries of Adam and Eve (a staged reading$10.00
Mark Twain’s vision of the Garden of Eden is funny and poignant in equal measure in “The Diaries of Adam and Eve.” As the first of their kind, Adam and Eve try to understand their circumstances and one another as they stumble through this brave new world, often finding themselves at odds with one another. Adam prefers to be left alone and relax while Eve is curious about everything, including Adam, and loves to name the creatures which they encounter.
The exploration of the Garden and what it means to be human is torn asunder when the serpent encourages Eve to eat an apple from the forbidden tree and Adam and Eve are barred from the garden.
Join us for staged readings of this witty and wonder-filled piece adapted from Mark Twain’s writings Saturday, July 7 and Monday, July 9 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, July 8 at 2 p.m. at Players of Utica.
