Lighting Design II – Saturday, June 17, 10am – 2pm, presented by Robert Frame, Director of Theater Operations at Cayuga Community College. Lighting always starts with the basics, which although covered in the first workshop “Without Light its Dark” this workshop will again touch on the functions and controllable properties of light. After the recap lighting will be covered more in depth. There will be hands on hanging and circuiting, ladder safety and focusing, washes and specials, different directions and what they mean, “Why did you pick THAT color” and finally combining them all together: reading a script, create a cue structure and set levels! All that is needed to design light.  Bob Frame has designed lights for over 100 shows, in situations ranging from 6 lights on sticks to full professional venues, from single acoustic performers to television to dance to opera to Musical theatre.  He has consulted in numerous renovation and theatre building projects during his 30 year career.

Location – Rome Community Theater, 8911 Turin Road, Rome NY
